Majorsell Ltd is proud to be the sole UK distributor for Voith compressors, a leader in innovative air compression technology. Originally developed in collaboration with Volvo engineers for the Euro 6 engine, Voith compressors made their debut in the UK bus market in 2014. Their first application was in 25 Lothian Bus Gemini 3 double-deck buses with Volvo B5TL Euro 6 chassis.

Since then, Voith compressors have earned a stellar reputation in the demanding world of bus operations, where the compressor must handle a much heavier duty air delivery cycle compared to trucks. The lightweight LP490 two-cylinder Euro 6 compliant compressor, known for its efficiency and reliability, has also been an original equipment choice for several Mercedes-Benz truck applications for over five years.

Voith’s cutting-edge technology offers significant benefits, including reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions, consistently high air quality, and notably longer duty cycles.

Voith’s engineering team is dedicated to developing retrofit solutions that allow existing vehicles—originally equipped with compressors from other manufacturers, such as Wabco and Knorr Bremse—to benefit from Voith's superior performance. These retrofits have already shown positive results in service, and thanks to our partnership with Voith UK, Majorsell Ltd now offers bespoke “retrofit kits” for various applications, with more in development.

These kits come complete with all necessary components and are supported by on-site expert technical assistance from Voith’s engineers.
